Information We Collect

  • Search History: Stored locally to provide quick access to frequently searched routes.
  • Favorites: Your favorite routes and stops saved on your device.
  • Location Access: We collect and use location in the following ways:
    • Nearby Bus Stops: Processed locally on your device to find stops around you. It is not sent to our servers and is not stored.
    • SOS Feature: Your live location is shared only with your chosen contacts while SOS is active. We do not store it.
    • Bus Live Tracking (Precise GPS): When you explicitly enable the "I'm in this Bus" option, the app collects your precise device GPS location and sends it to our server to help estimate the bus's live position. This location is stored ephemerally only for computation and is not permanently stored against your user identity. You can withdraw GPS collection at any time by turning off the feature or by denying location permission in your device settings.
  • Contacts Access: Requested only to enable the SOS feature. Contact data is used locally on your device to quickly reach your saved emergency contacts and is not collected, stored, or shared externally.
  • Notifications: Device tokens used for sending important updates and announcements.
  • Analytics: Anonymous usage data (via Firebase) to improve app performance.
  • Advertising: Third-party ad SDKs (such as Google AdMob, Meta Audience Network, and InMobi) may collect information like your device ID, approximate location, and ad interactions to show relevant ads.

How We Use Your Data

  • Provide bus schedules and route information.
  • Save your search history and favorites.
  • Enable SOS safety features (live location sharing only while using SOS; we do not store this location).
  • Find nearby bus stops using your current location (processed on-device; not stored or transmitted).
  • Estimate live bus positions using crowdsourced location data (when "I'm in this Bus" is enabled).
  • Send news updates and notifications.
  • Show ads to support free app usage.
  • Improve app functionality and performance.
  • Respond to user support requests.

Data Storage & Security

Most data is stored locally on your device.

We use Firebase for bus schedules, push notifications, and news updates.

Location readings for Nearby Bus Stops are processed locally. Location data for Bus Live Tracking is stored ephemerally on our servers for computation only and is not permanently linked to your identity.

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information, though no internet transmission is 100% secure.

We do not sell, trade, or rent personal information.

However, some data (like device identifiers or ad interactions) may be collected and processed by third-party SDKs such as Google AdMob, Meta Audience Network, and InMobi for advertising and analytics purposes, following their privacy policies.
